Context & narrative
How this work reads within the collection — statement first, extended lore when present.
About this work
A fractured colossus erupts from a slab of ruin, its skull split by pressure and its mouth forever locked in a silent roar. Rebar spears its shoulders like failed restraints, concrete clings to its body like a coffin poured too soon. Suspended between collapse and ascension, it is both monument and prisoner — a scream fossilized in stone.
Collector lore
It was never meant to wake.
They buried it in layers — steel through bone, concrete through will — sealing it beneath architecture and forgetting the sound it once made. Cities rose above its silence. Foundations drank its weight.
But pressure remembers.
Years of darkness compacted into something heavier than earth. The slab cracked first. Then the air shifted. Then the scream returned — not as sound, but as fracture.
Heavy-Bound is not breaking free.
It is teaching the world what happens when something carries too much for too long.
