Priest Gamble is a new rendition of an original character I created years ago—a self-appointed holy man, wasteland prophet, hustler, and notorious leader of The Red Hand gang.
Draped in a battered duster and crowned with his weather-beaten top hat, Gamble wanders the ruins looking equal parts preacher, outlaw, and undertaker. His long braids, dead white eye, iron crosses, and lead-pipe cane have become unmistakable signs that when the Priest comes to town, The Red Hand isn't far behind.
Nobody is quite sure what church Gamble belongs to—or whether it ever existed.
What is certain is that he's built his own congregation from the desperate, the dangerous, and the damned. He offers blessings to those who need hope, judgment to those who cross him, and salvation to anyone willing to pay the price.
The Red Hand takes care of everything else.
And that heavy lead-pipe cane?
That's for the souls who need a little extra convincing.
