They call him Mud Wrench.
Nobody remembers whether the name came from the machines he kept alive or the people he put in the ground.
Out beyond the last civilized road, the pumps still hammer, the fires still burn, and every surviving drop of fuel is worth killing for. Mud Wrench walks those fields wrapped in scrap steel, chains, scars, and whatever armor hasn't fallen off yet.
He isn't a soldier.
He isn't a hero.
And he sure as hell isn't a mechanic you argue with.
In a wasteland where fuel fights freedom, Mud Wrench is the ugly bastard standing between the two.
