The Seventh Burrow isn’t just territory—it’s the artery that feeds the Outlands. Fuel lines run beneath it. Black-market water flows through it. Whoever controls it controls the trade routes, the pit fights, the tribute caravans. Diesel rose through the ranks the hard way—calculated brutality, clean executions, never wasting motion. JAWS climbed differently—raw dominance, shattered bones, a presence that turned grown killers silent. Both were groomed as underbosses. Both were promised power. When the old ruler vanished in a refinery collapse that may or may not have been sabotage, there was no council vote. There was only tradition.
They meet at dawn in the slag yard outside the Burrow gates—no crews, no interference, only witnesses. Killing isn’t required, but neither man has ever solved a problem without breaking something. Diesel fights with precision, reading patterns, conserving strength. JAWS fights like a wrecking machine, absorbing punishment and returning it double. Steel on bone. Dust in the air. Blood in the sand. In the end, one will stand and one will kneel—not out of mercy, but out of recognition. In the Seventh Burrow, respect isn’t given. It’s beaten into the ground and claimed.
